In another departure from the loud abrasive punk of "Rock N' Roll Paint Job", Olexi has gone full acoustic for "144". Named after the Teac 144 4-track tape recorder that was used to record this album (the same type of tape recorder Bruce Springsteen used to record "Nebraska") this album is a more folk rock inspired project reflecting upon Olexi's experiences as a gay man and the relationships he's had discovering his own sexual identity. It's all there in plain view for the whole damn world to see and it's Olexi's hope for people to see the beauty in this stripped back album.
