Rock N' Roll Paint Job is an absolute left turn into a punk rock ravine for Olexi. Gone are the ambient builds in synthesizers and minimalist progressions. Slow and moody is now fast and loud: screeching guitars, thumping bass, and zany utterly obscene screaming and lyrics. Several of the songs are pastiches or make reference to some of Olexi's favorite punk and early hardcore artists like The Minutemen, X, and Husker Du. This album is a love letter to those early punk years as well as the punk scene in Buffalo that has been nothing but kind and welcoming to him since becoming such an active part of it in 2021. This is something Olexi has wanted to explore for a while now and here's 14 tracks of fury representing that hard work.
